From a business trip earlier this year.....
As I write this entry I am sitting on an airplane above northern New York State on my way to Washington, DC. Just routine flight to work or so I thought...
As we were picking up speed down the runway I heard giggling behind me. I turned around and saw that it was a child of about 9 years old. As the plane gained speed the giggles turned to shrills of laughter and on lift off a big screech of excitement belted out in a “Weeeeeeee” . For the rest of the suits on the plane, myself included, this lift off represented a regular almost daily commute in life. Just another lift off and a ho hum, ho hum, it’s off to work I go. To this 9 year old it was as if we were on a roller coaster or rocket ship and everything about the experience was exciting. The contrast of perceptions had me snap out of my unconsciousness to the fact that I was leaving earth. I allowed the 9 year old imagination inside me to awaken and now I was not just commuting to do business in Washington. I was on a rocket ship I was on an adventure with the future completely unknown.
What would I discover along my journey?
Who might I meet?
What new great things might I learn?
In an instant the unexciting routine of air travel turned into an exciting adventure full of possibility. It was a great reminder that my perspective is my reality.
What is the reality that you are living into today?
Let’s not forget that we can choose to create a new perspective at any moment? If what you have in your life today is not the reality you want define what you do want, alter your perspective and live into it.
Life can be a roller coaster and roller coasters can be exciting and fun or they can be terrifying and uncomfortable. You do get to choose.

p.s. This trip was one of the most exciting, adventurous and productive business trips that I have been on in a very long time. It is amazing what can happen when you align your mind with your desires.
